“ I visited Roots 657 today based off of recommendations for their great burgers. I ordered their Classic Cheeseburger with a side of fries, and shared it, having a half portion. Even though I only had half of the cheeseburger, it was still very filling and while the cheeseburger didn't come with any special sauces or condiments on it, it was still very flavourful by itself the way it was served and it was juicy and fresh, how you'd want a true cheeseburger to be! The fries seemed like regular fries but freshly made. Overall, very good first impression for food, and I definitely have to try their other menu items if I visit again. The restaurant has a section that provides neat and unique hand-made crafts, snacks, sauces and wines for sale as well which was interesting and great to browse through. Service was good and the atmosphere had a relaxed rustic feel. Thank you :) ”
“ Food was excellent! I got the smoked turkey sandwich with a side of potato salad. Sandwich was so juicy! Potato salad was great. Came with coleslaw which I was not a fan of but coleslaw isn’t on a top food of mine anyway. My 3 year old got Mac and cheese and the shared some pizza with his dad. Both of them were pleased and ate it all. Atmosphere was nice. We ate inside because it was very hot but the outside patio area looked very nice. Will definitely go back if we are in the area again. ”
“ Got carryout: brisket sandwich with mac & cheese, potato salad, and slaw. Brisket was tender, perfectly seasoned, perfectly salty, with crispy ends and soft fatty bits, A. The toasty onion cheese bun was amazing. Slaw was tangy and reminded me of curtido for pupusas-delicious! Mac was super creamy, and potato salad hit the spot. Loved the trio of BBQ sauces, especially the spicy one, I mixed it with the smoky sweet ones. Great flavors all around! Also pickles, so good! ”
“ I wish I could live at this cafe. We quickly stopped in wanting a coffee but actually wound up dining in for lunch. I ordered the double meats sandwich and boy do I wish I snapped a photo before devouring it. It is t the best smoked meats sandwich I’ve ever had in the DMV area. This place knows what they are doing. I also met Hugh who makes hot sauce. Picked up a bottle of my favorite one that he allowed us to taste test. If you’re in the area, definitely recommend. Oh, and the coffee was also pretty damn good. ”
“ Cozy little gem right before the Village of Lucketts. The place is a restaurant and a shop of really cool and niche sauces and drinks. You should certainly look at the shop. The service is great and friendly. They take the time to explain things. I ordered the classic cheeseburger as the first try of this place. It was great and juicy. The fries were just ok. They also have BBQ and pizza choices. Shall try those next time. The ambiance is great with a good patio outdoors. Certain parts of the place are overfilled with wall arts and other parts are bare. The food was amazing. Will come again. Restrooms are available. ”
“ Great first time experience! Stopped by on a Saturday morning for a quick lunch before a shopping date. Order the brisket sandwich with fries, a small cheeseburger with corn pudding, and a cup of chili. All the food was fresh and extremely flavorful. I particularly loved the brisket as it was so tender and juicy. They have so many barbecue sauces to choose from and they're all simply delicious! The chili was also made with the brisket, and had a slightly smoky flavor that really complimented the dish. The staff was extremely helpful and very quick delivering the food. The restaurant was also very clean and had plenty of seating, though it quickly started getting busy at around noon, but they do have outdoor seating available as well. I'll certainly be returning because I want to try out so many more items in their menu. Highly recommend! ”
“ Stopped here for lunch on our way home. Nice little shop with fresh food. They have sandwiches and salads. I had the Deli rose which was delicious roast beef and corned beef. My wife had a Reuben which also was tasty. I would recommend this place for lunch and dinner. Great food and service. Will be back again to try other sandwiches for sure. ”
“ One word, Delicious! Just what I needed after hiking, a smoked turkey sandwich! I got the brisket sandwich to go for my husband, 2 thumbs up. 10/10 Recommend. ”
